Great conditions on Lassen right now, perfect corn cycle … and the approach/exit is still in, but disappearing very quickly with the warm temps. A bit of rockfall as well, but the skiing is stellar.
Had a chance to go drop into some couloirs this week … surprisingly good snow on the due north facing aspects - all the new snow had slid, leaving a firm, but manageable surface to work with. Great to get the heart rate up a bit.

Ok. Looks like winter is finally ready to arrive at all elevations. Coverage and skiing above 7,500-8,000′ has been great. It has stayed cold up high and the snow has been holding nicely.
