pow

Finally got some snow up here…. and after only one good storm, the mountains are coated. Just a perfect spackeling. It came in a bit upside down overall, but things are consolidating fast, and it’s nice to have the backcountry open up again after so many weeks of nothing. Still a bit thin out there, but not bad considering we’ve only had one real storm since Oct/Nov. Last weekend’s storm brought two good shots of pow, one light and nice, the other classic Sierra Cement. Great skiing though … get ready for corn and variable for the next 10-15 days. We have another high pressure bubble building on us right now and after a small shot of moisture early this week, we go into the high pressure blues and storms are forced North again. Long long range is looking at changes for around Feb 8th or so … possible big stormy ones, but we’ll have to wait through this stretch.
