By ccrossen | December 19, 2018

positive changes!

As we await the next storm, please consider the traffic situation we will all be a part of…. there are now some better options

PARK & RIDE

In order to combat congestion on highway 89 during peak winter visitation periods, the Truckee North Tahoe Transportation Management Association has, in collaboration with Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows and Placer County, adopted a pilot program for park and ride services during the 2018-2019 winter season. This program will be put in place on holidays and weekends December – March.*

Truckee Park and Ride

The Truckee Park and Ride parking lot will be located at the Truckee Tahoe Unified School District Administrative Offices off of Donner Pass Road, behind the fire station and Wild Cherries. Tahoe Area Regional Transit (TART) buses will offer Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows Рspecific service every 30 minutes in the park and ride lots from 7am to 6pm. This service will be free.

*Planned dates for the Truckee Park & Ride to Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows are: December 28-30, January 5-6, 12-13, 19-20, 26-27, February 2-3, 9-10, 16-18, 23-24, and March 2-3, 9-10.

Skiers and riders traveling to Alpine Meadows can take the bus to Squaw Valley, then connect to Alpine Meadows via the Squaw Alpine Express shuttle.
