river paintings

By ccrossen | September 24, 2009

I have a friend whom once told me living in Truckee and not fly fishing is like living in Truckee and not skiing or climbing. Well, this summer, after catching a couple of the biggest fish of my life on dry flies, I have been visiting rivers and spending time out on the water. Getting to know the local river has been awesome, and it’s been nice to slow down a bit, take in a slower interaction with the landscape and environment. I feel very fortunate to have the river a couple minutes from my door.

So all these trips to rivers and creeks have affected the outlook and palette. Some of the latest images of work.
